  14. I am unable to 'force' my modem to connect at 300 baud to the
  15. local time sync signal in my area.  I have tried numerous init strings,
  16. following the manual's advice, but it just doesn't want to connect
  17. properly at this speed.  The modem is functioning perfectly in all
  18. other aspects.  Any thoughts on what I can try?
